Proposition Statement
To start with, my impression of the site was that a suburb ‘Coogee’ is developed around the Coogee beach and it seems to me that the ocean waves from the Coogee beach move into the suburb and the each layer of wave is spread out to create a zone; layers of waves structured the city. This idea becomes my initial concept as shown in my conceptual model.
Semi circle stair in front of Coogee Beach which connects the Public Park to the beach is the one good example of my concept - ‘the moving wave is the connector/interactor’, and I am making similar approach (function) to that stair. This little semicircle is followed the flow of the waves and work as a connector between public and nature zone.
Also this stair path would be a unique element of Coogee.
Since Coogee oval is located on the three different zones which are commercial area, residence zones and nature zone, the Coogee community centre will be another interactive connector for those different zones and for Coogee residents who are majorly consists of 25 – 34 years old (youth) and over 50 years old (senior citizen).

Assignment 2 - Initial Idea 2
#2 Cultural Art Centre in LondonWhat I like about the Jubilee church is the three sloping white concrete façade which seems like a gate lead you to sky, heaven. I thought that I can use the idea of impressive gate for semi - public realm - I have notice the Coogee oval as a relay station between public and commercial zone to private and residential zone. I wish the coogee community centre could be a gate to private realm.
